Canada’s sixth-largest art gallery is putting the finishing touches on the Inuit Art Centre—hailed by the Globe & Mail as the most anticipated gallery opening in Canada. This centre will showcase the world’s largest collection of northern Inuit art. Besides the stunning bone and soapstone Inuit sculptures and paintings, the WAG features many temporary exhibits. In 2020, they will host Cree artist Kent Monkman’s ‘Shame and Prejudice’ and Anishinaabe artist Norval Morrisseau’s ‘Androgyny’.

The world’s first human rights museum uses artifacts and modern digital media to share some of history’s most compelling stories—from the challenges of desegregation in the American south, to the trials of child soldiers in Africa, to the creation of the UN’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Assiniboine Park Zoo

Canada’s oldest zoo recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation, opening its showcase feature, Journey to Churchill. This immersive experience introduces you to the landscapes and animals of the north—majestic wolves, playful seals, and graceful caribou. It is also one of the few places in the world where you can marvel as polar bears swim over your head! Located inside the 400-acre Assiniboine Park, a visit to the zoo is a memorable day out no matter the season.
