TOUR OVERVIEW

Experience the very best sites and stories Winnipeg has to offer on our award-winning Heart of a Nation Winnipeg City Tour. Learn why Manitoba’s capital should be called ‘Secret New York’, where to visit Winnipeg in outer space, and Winnipeg’s shocking connection to James Bond. Humorous and engaging, our knowledgeable guide will share an incredible side of our hometown you’ve never seen before.

If you want to find out which cartoon character is an honourary Winnipegger (no, it’s not Winnie the Pooh), see the house where rock legend Neil Young grew up, learn the amazing story of a young Winnipegger whose decision to go for a run changed Canada forever, and hear how a local brewery inspired Budweiser’s most famous marketing campaign, this is the tour for you.

SEE WINNIPEG’S BEST PLACES

This tour gives you a complete overview of our city! Highlights include:

  • Downtown and its major attractions including the Canada Life Centre, home to the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets hockey team;
  • The Forks—the most visited place in Manitoba—and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights;

TAKE A WALK THROUGH THE BACK ALLEY ARCTIC OUTDOOR ART GALLERY

The definition of a hidden gem! Tucked away in a residential back lane is a gallery of two-dozen murals by one of Winnipeg’s most prolific artists, Kal Barteski. Though barely mentioned in local tourist guides due to its out-of-the-way location, seeing this stunning collection is one of the most popular parts of our tour—and a great time to stretch your legs and enjoy the sunshine.
