Who this tour is for

What you’ll experience

Winnipeg’s most iconic neighbourhoods and landmarks all in one comfortable ride:

  • Downtown and its major attractions including the Canada Life Centre—home to the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets hockey team
  • The Forks—the most visited place in Manitoba—and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights
  • The historic French community of St. Boniface
  • The Exchange District—home to one of North America’s finest collections of turn-of-the-century architecture and filming location for a number of major motion pictures including Capote, Shall We Dance, and November 1963
  • Tree-lined residential neighbourhoods and the houses of rockstar Neil Young and suffragette Nellie McClung; and much more—over 70 sights in two hours

See more in two hours than most people do in days

From the charming streets of St. Boniface to the historic Exchange District and the iconic Manitoba Legislative Building, you’ll discover over 70 of the city’s most famous landmarks and the stories that make them unforgettable no planning required. Here’s a taste of what’s in store:

  • Why Winnipeg should rightfully be called “Secret New York”
  • How a local brewery unknowingly inspired Budweiser’s most famous marketing campaign
  • The house where Neil Young grew up, and Winnipeg’s connection to one of the most iconic songs of the 1970s
  • Which cartoon character is an honorary Winnipegger (it’s not Winnie the Pooh—though that’s a Winnipeg story too)
  • The young Winnipegger named Terry Fox whose decision to go for a run changed Canada forever
  • Winnipeg’s unexpected, somewhat shocking connection to James Bond

Discover Winnipeg's unexpected gems

One thing guests love most about our trolley is discovering the fascinating facts and stories about the city they would likely not find on their own. See the charming neighbourhoods and off-the-beaten path attractions most tours don’t cover and that even many locals have never seen. Plus, we take you for a walk down through the Back Alley Arctic Art Gallery. Tucked into a residential back lane, the Arctic Art Gallery is a full city block of stunning large-scale murals—one of the most photographed spots on the tour, and something most Winnipeggers have never even heard of. The walk down the lane is also a great time to stretch your legs and enjoy the sunshine.

The best ride in town

Winnipeg is one of the sunniest cities in North America, but our climate-controlled trolley allows our tours to run comfortably in rain, snow, or sunshine, while the panoramic windows mean you won’t miss any of the sites we pass. The easiest—and most entertaining—way to see Winnipeg.

Local guides who feel like friends

There is a reason we’ve been Winnipeg’s #1 tour company on Tripadvisor for 13 years—our guides are warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about Winnipeg history and culture. Expect engaging stories, laughs, and the kind of genuine hospitality that feels like exploring our city with a friend. Our tours are designed for curious travellers and Winnipeggers alike—you’d be surprised how many locals leave having learned things they never knew about their own city.

Gary, the tour guide, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and funny. It was 2 hours long and very enjoyable. Even having lived in Winnipeg all my life I found out things I never knew – Debbie G., Winnipeg (verified Tripadvisor review)

After the tour, our guides are happy to point you toward their favourite places to eat, drink, and explore, so you can make the most of the rest of your day.

What our guests are saying

Top rated by hundreds of guests across Tripadvisor, Google, and Facebook

“When visiting a city we often do an "introductory" tour to get our bearings and decide where to spend more time. We have done tours in cities all over the world, and this is definitely one of the best. The city is much more interesting than we imagined, the trolley is comfortable, and our guide was thoughtful, engaged, and humorous all in equal measure.”

Paul F., Australia

“An incredible experience! The tour was engaging from beginning to end! Tour guide Ben delivers a history of Winnipeg and its many colourful characters in a humorous and lighthearted manner that gives you a newfound appreciation for the city’s history! The tour is clearly well-researched, and offers a great window into Winnipeg and Manitoba history without the dryness of any other tour I’ve been on! A must for both tourists and locals!”

Laurie M., Winnipeg
Verified Tripadvisor reviewer

“We decided to give this a try as we’ve both been to Winnipeg dozens of times and were looking for something different to do. So glad we did! It was so nice to sit back, listen to the history and admire all the older architecture. Our tour guide Linsdsay was friendly, very informative, and funny. Our group was super quiet and shy and she did a great job at keeping the tour and energy going. Highly recommend this to all, whether it’s your first time in Winnipeg or your 1000th.”
